I expected a lot more for what it costs. The exhibits felt thin, and I didn’t come away feeling like I learned much about Japanese culture. A few of the interactive parts were also kind of a “works when it wants” situation, which made it even more frustrating. Overall, I wouldn’t say it was worth the trip

Visited with kids and, well, let’s just say it wasn’t the smoothest experience. It’s really not stroller friendly, and getting around felt way more complicated than it needed to be. Definitely something to keep in mind if you’re coming with little ones.

I had an okay time, I guess. The place is nice enough, but it’s not anything so amazing that they should be charging that much for tickets. Felt a bit like they think they’re way more impressive than they actually are.

Some parts of the gardens were really pretty, but the visit felt a bit underwhelming. It was busier than I expected, so it wasn’t the calm, peaceful walk I was hoping for. A few areas looked worn, and the signs weren’t that useful. Staff were fine, just not especially friendly. For the price, I expected a quieter, better-kept vibe.

the garden still has some really pretty, peaceful spots, and the water views were nice. i did enjoy walking around for a little while and taking it all in.

that said, a lot of areas felt kind of neglected. there were weeds, messy paths, and some plants that didn’t look cared for. for the price, i expected it to be better maintained, so i left feeling a bit disappointed.

It was a place and I did enjoy parts of it but the parking was a hassle. The lot felt way too crowded and the signs were not super helpful so we spent more time figuring things out than expected. The facilities were fine overall but the bathrooms could have been cleaner. For the price I just thought the whole visit would feel a little smoother

I was on the site earlier this week trying to find some basic info, and it took longer than I expected. The layout felt messy, and after clicking around for a bit, some of the information looked like it hadn’t been updated in a while. I gave it another try later that day, but it was still hard to tell what was current

I went to Morikami thinking I was going to love it, but my first reaction was kind of, “Oh… this feels a little staged.” The Japanese atmosphere just didn’t come across as very authentic to me, more like a polished theme-park version of it.

The gardens were nice in spots, but it was crowded and noisy when I went, so I never really got that peaceful feeling I expected. A few areas felt like they were set up more for photos than anything cultural or meaningful.

I totally get that other people might enjoy it, but I left feeling disappointed. For the price and all the hype, I guess I just expected something that felt a lot more real.

Just a heads up for anyone thinking of stopping by, I went in hoping to get some help, but the staff acted like I was bothering them. The answers I got were short and kind of dismissive, and I didn’t feel welcome at all. Not a great experience.

I really wanted to like this place, but the food came out cold and the coffee was sooo weak. Just not the cozy cafe experience I was hoping for.

I went mostly for the gift shop and ended up leaving annoyed. The selection was really small, and it felt like they had a bunch of the same basic items over and over instead of anything unique or special. The prices also seemed high for what was there. What made it more frustrating was getting inconsistent answers from staff about what they had in stock and whether more items were available somewhere else, so it just felt kind of disorganized overall.

The festival looked really nice and the events seemed fun, but it was just way too crowded. There were long lines pretty much everywhere, and with the prices being what they were, it didn’t really feel worth it.
